Do you sell digital files?
I make actual prints, canvases & albums the focus in my custom portraiture services, and do not offer the option to purchase all digital files at this time. When a client wants to purchase digital files, that can indicate several things. It may indicate that a client prefers to do their own printing, which often means the quality I provide will not be apart of the process any longer. Additionally, it can mean the client is only interested in having digital copies of the images, which is not the goal of the type of custom portrait art I create. Because digital files can become corrupted and eventually lost, and because I am so passionate about providing the best possible products and service to my clients, a wide variety of the highest quality, archival grade prints, albums, and canvases can be purchased directly through me. They are all guaranteed for life.
With that said, I understand that you will want to electronically share and enjoy your portraits online. Your $1500 order is accompanied by the high-resolution digital files of all ordered images and are intended for archival purposes, but may be printable up to 8×10 as well as shared electronically.

What should we wear?
1) Don’t wear white. White draws the eye, and detracts away from the portrait’s primary focus- your faces and expressions. Jewel tones & fall colors almost always photograph nicely, while neon & bright colors such as coral and orange don’t typically photograph as well.
2) Layer & accessorize. Think jewelry, belts, scarves, hair accessories, cardigans, boots, jackets… the right combination of these really completes the outfit.
3) Coordinate instead of match. One great way to coordinate is to choose a pattern (perhaps your daughter’s dress), which has a few different colors. Thread those colors through the other family members’ clothing pieces and accessories. It’s usually a good idea to have only one (two tops) family member in a pattern.

What should I bring?
It is a good idea to bring a comb/brush & powder to freshen up, hair spray for fly-aways in case of a windy day, tissue for runny noses, and your kid’s favorite jokes. Come rested and relaxed, and ready to have some fun!
