I’ve not only been working on my new blog, I’ve also been working on a new and improved splash page (the splash page is that first screen you see when you go to my website) as can be seen above. I’m also VERY excited about this and I need your help.
You’ll notice there are two spots for a picture. I’m not sure which images I want to insert and I don’t really want to spend the hours deciding. So- this is where you (and the contest) come in.
Look through my website galleries as well as images from old blog postings (click links above & ‘my old blog’) and email me (amandalynnphoto@yahoo.com) which image you think I should use for which spot (specify ’square’ or ‘horizontal’). Notice one is square and the other horizontal, so you’ll want to consider that as you choose. I’ll end up choosing the final images from what you send me… in essence you’re narrowing down my options.
There will be two winners- one for each spot. The prize will be a $30 gift card to the place of your choosing. When you submit your image, also tell me what store you’d like a gift card to. If by random chance two different people enter the same winning image, I’ll draw for the winner. You can even enter for both spots and win both prizes ($60 gift card!) if I choose both of your entered pictures.
The deadline for this is September 13. I’m so excited and can’t wait to hear from you!

it’s a small world in photography land:) I saw sharon’s logo on doodle bug’s website and looked at her website. She’s actually the one who told me about this blog template. She was super helpful and sweet.

so for the site opening i would use an image from your big ones section. b&w girl laughing with her hands on the opposite side of her face.
and for the blog opening…..colorful bebe asleep on rusty yellow iron bench thing!

You take beautiful photos. It’s been wonderful to look through your work.
The photo of the Charles Bridge in Prague would be wonderful in the horizontal spot.
As for the square, if you’re willing to display him on the front page, the picture of “Hudson” (01) in the laundry basket is precious. It’s the first one in the shoot. I noticed some of the others of him area also listed as “01″ as they were the first in the series outside and whatnot. But the close up of him in the living room when the light was just right is great!
$30 to Amazon would be my first choice. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
I suggest hudson in the bird bath for the horizontal shot and for the square there is a black in white of a couple under big ones. the guy has long hair and the girls hair is kind of short. cant wait to see the results!
