Amanda

{senior spokesmodel wanted} – fort worth senior photographer

If you are a 2010 Senior at Arlington Heights and would like a chance to receive a fun, complimentary (FREE!), on-location session with Amanda Lynn Photography (these will NOT be like your glamour craft pictures!), please submit a photo to amandalynnphoto@yahoo.com and she’ll send you an application that will allow you to tell her more about yourself and your school involvement.

She’s looking for an involved girl who will hand out personalized contact cards and show off her senior portraits. Senior reps are expected to “talk it up” with their friends and classmates.

The winning candidate will receive a complimentary session and 16 wallets of their favorite shot from the session. You can also earn additional free products for referring your other senior friends! For full details, please contact her soon as she would like to schedule the spokesmodel’s session in the next week or two.

To check out her work, go to www.AmandaLynnPhoto.com!

{”getting off auto” workshop} – fort worth photographer

I am offering a workshop this fall that will teach the basics of photography in a very non-technical, easy to understand way with the goal of helping you “get off auto”. The workshop will be held at my home, Saturday, September 26 at 1:00pm. It will last anywhere from one to two hours, depending on the length of the Q&A time. The cost will be $30 and because of the nature of the location and my desire to keep things intimate, the workshop is limited to the first 10 people who register.

Please visit www.amandalynnphoto.com and click on workshop for more details and registration information.

And for those who attended my “How to Take Better Pictures of your Children” workshop, you’ll be glad to know this workshop will be held indoors :)

{hope church staff} – fort worth photographer

I photographed the Hope Church staff in the spring. There were 14 staff members who needed headshots for their marketing material, website, etc. It’s the first time I’ve photographed a large amount of people (14’s a lot compared to the usual 2 or 3) in a very short period of time. I was a little slow at first and then started getting moving.

I LOVE creating unique, beautiful portraits of people… just as they are. But that day was for me like you chocolate lovers eating 100 pounds of chocolate in a 2 hour period. At the end of the session, I didn’t want to shoot anyone for at least a week! It was definitely out of my system for a little while :) But I’m very excited about the end result and can’t wait to see the images used.

If you’re needing headshots for your business or website, I’d love to talk with you!

I think this one is my most favorite. Such beauty.

{sus & scott} – fort worth engagement photography

Meet Susanne & Scott. Sort of funny, Susanne’s last name is “Scott”. The whole time they’ve been a couple, I’ve not noticed that before… and then one day, it hit me. This is a VERY special couple who have such a neat story. Susanne has spent the last 2 years in central Asia teaching English and during her time over there, she fell in love with Scott who was doing the same work. They, for certain reasons, couldn’t date until Susanne’s time was up teaching and then they could officially be a couple. So, they pretty much kept their love to themselves for a REALLY long time. They came home 4 days ago. The next day, Scott asked her to be his wife, and the next day, we shot their engagement portraits. What a whirlwind!

Susanne and I were good friends in college and is so special to me. I always knew whoever she ended up with would have to be awfully special to match Sus’ specialness… and I think she found her match;) He just adores her beyond belief. Anyway, on to a not so sneak “peak”:

Love it. I think this might be my most favorite.

And then this one.

Oh, but I like the left one above so much too…

What a fun time we had. They were AMAZING to work with- thank you so much for letting me be a part of this special occassion!

{favorites confirmed} – fort worth engagement photographer

So, I had my ordering session with the recent engaged couple I photographed. It’s always fun/interesting to see which ones are they’re ALL TIME favorites and which ones are my all time favorites. Sometimes they’re the same, sometimes not. But today, it was the former. The below are BOTH of our favorites. I just love them so much I could look at them all day!

Beautiful.

{a few more} – fort worth engagement photographer

I couldn’t resist showing a couple more!

I just can’t get over how much I love her hair. It really completes her look.

We were about to leave (we’d already finished shooting) when I saw her carrying her shoes like that and I loved it… so I had to snap a few more before packing up.

{richard & viviana} – fort worth engagement photography

Meet Richard & Viviana. They are having a destination wedding (how awesome is that?!) and since they won’t be having a professional photographer at their wedding, they wanted nice portraits of themselves here to display at their pre-wedding engagement party/reception (I think I got that right). Richard looks very handsome in his suit- and don’t you just LOVE Viviana’s dress?!

I think this is my favorite of the two of them out of all I shot today. But I could change my mind tomorrow:)

love, love, love laughing shots like this.

Beautimous.

{matilda jane trunk show} – fort worth photographer

Matilda Jane Trunk Show – Save the Date!

A little over a year ago, I was introduced to the unique, creative, and stylish clothing line, Matilda Jane, and it was love at first site! For those not in-the-know, Matilda Jane is a boutique clothing line dedicated to creating fresh and fun dresses, skirts, tops and more for all the princesses in our lives. The brilliant thing about Matilda Jane clothing is that each clothing item is not only little girl friendly, but also 100% mother approved. Finally a compromise between style and trends created just for young girls 8 and under (they also have beautiful pieces for us moms!). These outfits really are a work of art and can only be found in her online store or at trunk shows.

I am very excited to announce that I will be teaming with Sarah of Sarah Anne Photography to host a trunk show this September in a location TBA in central Fort Worth. The benefit to a trunk show is you actually get to see these beautiful works of art in person, hold them in your hands, and even try them on!

So, you need to SAVE THIS DATE:

Matilda Jane Trunk Show

Thursday, September 10th

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

For everyone who purchases a complete Matilda Jane Outfit, you will be eligible to receive a COMPLIMENTARY mini-session in your brand new outfit once your clothing order arrives.
