{i’m on flickr} – fort worth photographer

I decided awhile back that I wasn’t going to join flickr. It just seemed repetitious as I’ve already got a blog. But they have a private group for photographers (a discussion group where photographers can learn from each other) so in order to join the group, you had to be active on flickr. So. I’m on flickr now!

{”how to take better pictures of your children” workshop!!!} – fort worth child photographer

Officially announcing my upcoming workshop! I can’t wait- I’ve been thinking of so many tips to share to help you improve the pictures you take of your children.

{meredith} – fort worth senior photographer

Meet Meredith. Meredith is actually from Tulsa. She grew up with Adam (my hubby)- actually Adam apparently used to babysit her (does that tell you how old we are?!). Anyway, Meredith spent spring break in Fort Worth and wanted me to photograph her for her senior portraits. What a fun time we had! I just imaged half of her pictures and couldn’t resist posting a few of my favorites. Here’s a sneak peak!

{workshop in may} – fort worth child photographer

I’m very excited to announce I will be offering a workshop in May (exact dates aren’t firmed up just yet) on “How to Take Better Pictures of Your Children”. This will be a workshop for moms and dads who would like to do just that.

I hear so many parents tell me that they have this nice camera and they just don’t know how to use it to it’s full potential. Maybe that sounds like you. If so, you’ll want to stay tuned for more details and mark your calendar!

{more of s&p}

I’m guessing this is the way it is for all photographers, but I love every one of these. I could say “THIS is my favorite” just after saying another was:) But each one is uniquely special and sweet for it’s own reason. Anyway, I couldn’t narrow down my favorites to show, so I’m showing (again) more than planned!

I love the composition of this one plus the sweet moment being shared between the two. Oh, and isn’t that brick and cobblestone amazing?! This is the central district’s police sector downtown Fort Worth. I’m guessing it used to be an old church, though.

love it. Aren’t they great? Just look at how relaxed Patrick is & how much they’re enjoying one another. You can have the sweetest, cutest couple in the world, but if they’re not relaxed and able to enjoy the experience, there’s no way to get shots like this.

Gotta have that straight on shot.

I love these last two- they feel so free with the wind blowing her hair. I love “wind blowing in hair” shots:) And the trees in the background are pretty cool too.

You wouldn’t know it, but it was SO stinkin cold this day. It’s been in the 70’s and 80’s the last several weeks in Fort Worth and all of a sudden, the weather decided to drop to the FIFTIES the weekend of this shoot! And the WIND was OUT OF CONTROL. Thankfully the police station blocked it, but here at the Kimbell we experienced it full force. Poor Stef. She was a trooper and they even were able to have some fun, though they were DEFINITELY cold after the barefoot shots above.

I have a problem. After we say the shoot is done and everyone’s packed up and heading towards the car, I just can’t stop. I have to keep snappin. Here’s the sweetest one of them walking to the car. Too bad they had to be carrying all the stuff :(

{meet stef & patrick}

Meet Stefanie and Patrick- the cutest, sweetest (engaged) couple in the whole wide world. They are ridiculously in love and were the easiest couple to photograph ever! I have to give props to Patrick for being the easiest guy to photograph ever- he was so relaxed and just had tons of fun. He made ME have fun! Here is just a sneak peak- more to come later!

He had the FUNNIEST faces ever- he made me laugh and more importantly, he made Stefanie laugh. Here’s one of the funny patrick faces I caught.

{…and the winner is} – dfw child photographer

Sydney Miller, daughter of Kelli & Darren Miller. Kelli was so excited about this contest- her diligence to get the right photographs of her daughters (she entered her three daughters) made me even more excited about the contest! She has quite the knack for photography as can be seen by the picture below that she took of Sydney. Sydney’s quite the little natural, I must say:)

I can’t wait for the pettiskirt shoot- I think we’re going to have too much fun! But I feel so bad choosing Sydney and not her sisters. I wasn’t planning on having any runners up, but I think Brooke and Aubrey would enjoy playing dress up with their sister. So- there you go. They can all be winners. It’ll be loads of fun- don’t forget to check back for the final images from our shoot!
