{charlie reed music} – fort worth musician photography

And a few more from my latest shoot, musician Charlie Reed. Love his style.

Listen to him at www.facebook.com/charliereedmusic and soon you can find more on his website (to be fully ready to go in a week or two!) at www.charliereed-music.com. He has his first album (do they still call them albums?) to be released very soon! I’m sure you can learn more on his website but he said you’ll be able to find them on amazon for sure.

{charlie reed music} – fort worth photographer

I had the opportunity recently to photography a local musician, Charlie Reed. He is releasing his first album and launching his website and I had the privilege of photographing him for these projects. I loved his style when I heard it and I think you will to. Check it out: www.facebook.com/charliereedmusic

Reed057c

You might recall a month or so ago, I posted about trying out a new style of shooting that I would plan on using with high school seniors (and shoots like this one). For those who are curious, it’s actually shooting with a flash that’s not on my camera (aka “off camera flash” :) . It enables me to shoot in situations that I wouldn’t normally be able to. Like this image above. We were in bright sunlight around 6:15pm and the sun was behind him. Normally (had I shot without the flash), either his face would’ve been super dark or the background would’ve been super bright. But now, here we go, we were able to get that “field” shot he was wanting and everything looks wonderful!

{founders fables} – fort worth headshot photographer

You may remember recently my mentioning my good friend, Laurie, who has recently written the book “Founders’ Fables”. I had the opportunity to photograph her headshot for her website. Check it out at www.foundersfables.com!

Founders’ Fables is a children’s book to help explain our most treasured American values, based on the principles of our Founding Fathers and the concept of limited government. Through the use of funny and memorable characters, ten simple fables address these American values, often believed too complicated for kids to comprehend.

{hope church staff} – fort worth photographer

I photographed the Hope Church staff in the spring. There were 14 staff members who needed headshots for their marketing material, website, etc. It’s the first time I’ve photographed a large amount of people (14’s a lot compared to the usual 2 or 3) in a very short period of time. I was a little slow at first and then started getting moving.

I LOVE creating unique, beautiful portraits of people… just as they are. But that day was for me like you chocolate lovers eating 100 pounds of chocolate in a 2 hour period. At the end of the session, I didn’t want to shoot anyone for at least a week! It was definitely out of my system for a little while :) But I’m very excited about the end result and can’t wait to see the images used.

If you’re needing headshots for your business or website, I’d love to talk with you!

I think this one is my most favorite. Such beauty.

{gina} – fort worth photographer

Meet Gina. Gina works at my State Farm agent’s office (remember Darren from this past Christmas?). She wanted some updated pictures of herself to give to her kids. I was so honored and excited when she asked me to photograph her. It’s been a long time coming, but we finally were able to plan a date and, thankfully, the weather was just perfect that day!

I have a few favorites and this is one of them. Just love the emotion and laughter captured.

I also love the right one above. One interesting thing about her portraits is in honor of her two children who serve in the military, she chose red, white and blue for her clothing colors. I thought that was such a great idea!

Gotta love the Kimbell. They have it all- even water to dangle your feet in!

I think another favorite is the above right image. She couldn’t have posed any more perfect. So elegant.

I also love these above two. I know, I know. I’ve said that alot… but it’s true.

I’m so glad she brought this umbrella! She appreciates art and thought since we shot at a museum it’d be so appropriate to photograph her with her Monet umbrella. I’m lovin’ it!
