Well, this weekend I had my last two sessions for awhile. I’m hoping to take several months off to adjust to having two little ones at home but am booking sessions for the fall. Saturday, I photographed three cousins, aged 8, 2 and 1. It was quite a high energy time and it definitely wore me and my 38 week pregnant self out. I came home, put my toddler to bed, picked up the house and was asleep by 8:30! I’ll be blogging these hopefully later this week.
THEN (what I was thinking, I’m not sure!), the next afternoon, I photographed Easter Portraits for the Junior Woman’s Club’s Easter Tea. I did this last year and photographed 25 little ones. This year, however, the Bunny came out of retirement and brought many of it’s followers with her. I photographed 45 (yes, 45!) children/groups of children/families in 1.5 hours. It was very high paced and exciting! Shockingly, I wasn’t too tired the rest of the day. I thought I’d blog a few of the sweet/funny ones.

You might recognize this little guy from last year. He was full of energy last year, but a little somber (tired, I’m guessing) this year. He didn’t want to sit by himself so we tried getting him with momma. He wasn’t really interested in looking at the camera, but I captured this sweet snuggly moment of the two of them. They came back towards the end of the time and we tried a family portrait instead. He had a few more smiles to share then!

We had children of all ages!

We photographed families this year, which provided a little more variety.

This was one of my favorites! We absolutely could NOT get all three kiddos to 1) sit 2) look at the camera and 3) smile all at the same time. A very tough combo indeed! But we got them all having a good ol time. I just loved this one in black and white.

It was so great to have the bunny out this year, but he definitely caused a little slow down in the pace as some kids had what I call the “santa clause” syndrome. They cried when the bunny came anywhere near them! It was quite the miracle we got the one we did on the right of the little girl not crying. The mom was SUPER sweet in reassuring me she’s okay if we only get one of her daughter crying. Low expectations are awfully nice sometimes!

And then we had a few who wanted to be in the picture with the bunny, just didn’t want to get too close!

This was the second who didn’t want to get too close. It just cracked me up.
Oh, Amanda, those are GREAT!!! Can’t wait to take pics of my new one!
